Teeth whitening screening is a process conducted by dental professionals to evaluate the condition of your teeth and determine the best approach for achieving a brighter, whiter smile. It helps identify any underlying dental issues and ensures that you are a suitable candidate for teeth whitening treatment.
Some individuals may experience temporary tooth sensitivity or gum irritation during or after teeth whitening treatment. These side effects are usually mild and subside shortly. It is important to follow the instructions provided by your dental professional and consult them if you have any concerns.
Carbamide peroxide in concentrations 10-15-20% for home whitening and 35-38% for office whitening. Some products contain hydrogen peroxide. The new technology whitening products contain PF (nitrous potassium and fluoride) for minimizing the sensitivity, strengthening the enamel and preventing the tooth caries.
Teeth whitening screening is beneficial for individuals who are looking to enhance the appearance of their smile by removing stains and discoloration from their teeth. However, it is important to note that the effectiveness of teeth whitening treatment may vary depending on the cause and type of discoloration.
During a teeth whitening screening, your dental professional will examine your teeth, assess the level of discoloration, and identify any potential contraindications or dental issues that may affect the whitening process. They may also take photographs and dental impressions to monitor your progress throughout the treatment.
Teeth whitening options can include in-office professional whitening treatments performed by a dental professional, take-home kits provided by the dentist, or over-the-counter whitening products. Your dental professional will guide you on the most suitable option based on your specific needs and goals.
