It’s safe and easy to use.

Teledentistry is a secure and quick way to get a dentist’s recommendation without leaving your home. It could also help you avoid a visit to the emergency room. Use Delta Dental Virtual Visits when you:

  • are having a dental emergency and do not have a dentist,
  • need access to a dentist after hours, or
  • need to consult a dentist without leaving home, or while traveling.

Teledentistry is already included in your existing PPO dental coverage and does not count toward your regular preventive oral health exams. Teledentistry consultations count toward your annual maximums and deductibles apply.

Accessing your virtual dental consultation is easy! Simply log in to your Delta Dental member portal on our website, navigate to the Teledentistry services section, and click on the “Emergency Consultation” button to connect with a dentist immediately.

Our virtual consultations can address a variety of dental emergencies, including toothaches, chipped or broken teeth, lost fillings or crowns, and issues with braces or other dental appliances. If your situation requires in-person treatment, we will guide you to the nearest dental facility.
To use the Dental Photo Analysis service, log into your member area, select the “Photo Analysis” service, and follow the instructions to upload your dental photos. Our dental experts will analyze the images and provide a detailed report along with recommended next steps.

Yes, these services are covered under your Delta Dental dental plan. Please check your plan details for specific coverage and benefits.

Our Dental Photo Analysis is performed by experienced dentists who specialize in diagnostic imaging. They use the latest color analysis technology to assess your dental photos for a comprehensive evaluation of your oral health.
